English as a Second Language School

WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL!

Catholic Charities English School is usually the first contact that the refugees and immigrants have with the United States. We have implemented many different programs that we believe will help our clients get started in their new lives here in the Louisville community. Interpreters are provided for all classes except the English Language training classes. Working with so many different cultures gives all of us a broader view of the world that we live in. Our staff loves working with our students, and hope that you will accept them into our community with open arms too.

Catholic Charities has joined in a partnership with the Jefferson County Public Schools Adult and Continuing Education (JCPS) to provide teachers for our adult clients attending our English School.  Our English language trainiing will help refugees to achieve self sufficiency through a curriculum that focuses on basic English skills neeeded for a refugee to function proficiently as a worker, parent and a community member. Currently we have 5 JCPS teachers insstructing our English classes and they are providing 12 hours of English instruction for all clients.
