Advanced Training (Level 1) for Medical Interpreters
Prerequisite: Successfully completed the "Bridging the Gap" training

Medical Interpreting Training "Bridging the Gap"
Prerequisite: To speak fluently at least one language other than English
April 18, 19, 20, 25, 26,27
(Fridays 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (40 hours total)

Basic Training for Translators
Prerequisite: Ability to read and write at least one language other than English.

LOCATION
Catholic Charities, 2911 South 4th Street, Room #004, Louisville, KY 40208. Please use the back door of the building.
Payment

The cost for Class #01, #08, and #13 is $160.00 if you register at least 30 days in advance prior to the start of each class. For all registrations received within the 30 days of the beginning of the class, the cost will be $180.00. All materials and lunch are included in the cost.

The cost for Class #02, #04, and #14 is $70.00 if you register at least 30 days in advance prior to the start of each class. For all registrations received within the 30 days of the beginning of the class, the cost will be $80.00. All materials and lunch are included in the cost.

The cost for Class #03, #05, #06, #010, and #12 is $40.00 if you register at least 30 days in advance prior to the start of each class. For all registrations received within the 30 days of the beginning of the class, the cost will be $50.00. All materials and lunch are included in the cost.

The cost for class #07, #11, and #15 is $20.00, or purchase the handbook for $15.00.
Deadline for all registrations is two weeks prior to the beginning of each class. An additional $15.00 late fee will be collected for all late registrations (registrations received within two weeks prior to the beginning of the class).
The payment must be received at the time of registration. Your placement is not guaranteed until payment has been received. Make check payable to Catholic Charities, and send it to 2911 South 4th Street, Louisville, KY 40208, attention: Aida Juric.
Cancellation
If cancellation is received within seven days prior to the beginning of the class, full registration minus a $30.00 processing fee will be refunded. If cancellation is received with more than seven days notice, the registration will be applied to the next available training date.
Catholic Charities reserves the right to cancel any training at any time. Full refund will be made in the case Catholic Charities cancels any of the training classes.
Other Information
All classes are limited to 20 participants.
Only requirement for our classes is to be fluent in English and at least one other language. Therefore, language screening is required in some cases. If this applies to you, we will contact you, and do the screening over the phone.
You will be notified if you have not been accepted, and receive your money back.
It can take up to two weeks to receive confirmation for your registration once we receive your information.
