Adopt a Refugee Family at Christmastime Project

Volunteers (especially families, church/school groups, or business organizations) are needed to help adopt one or more of the 250+ refugee families that our program serves each calendar year. Volunteers are asked to help provide at least one or more clothing outfits along with a toy/game for each child member in the family. In addition a small gift (such as winter attire like gloves, scarves, hat, etc.) is suggested for the adults in the family. A week or two before Christmas, the volunteers will have a chance to deliver these gifts and visit the refugee family at their homes.

Requirements: Have reliable transportation and daytime availability as well as feel comfortable interacting with people who speak limited English.
